Sales & Marketing Manager
Job Description
A mid-level sales manager is required to manage, strategize, maintain, evaluate, increase, and promote sales. Your reporting will be to the director, and you will be responsible for:
– Visit customers with technical or account managers daily, weekly, or monthly to identify areas for opportunities to increase business through customer performance gains and/or cost reductions.
– Product trial coverage, data collection, evaluation, analysis, and reporting.
– Have good knowledge and understanding of the technical issues, processes, product applications, and concerns at every customer location.
– Responsible for the completion of a sale (i.e., shipment, logistics, consignment, invoicing, installation, application, performance evaluation, revenue, profitability).
– Develop comprehensive strategies in conjunction with account and technical management to maintain and acquire new business
– Build and present technical PPT presentations in conjunction with the technical/sales team as a means to maintain and increase business.
– Have a high degree of administrative organization for administrative duties such as scheduling sales calls, expense reports, customer collection, consignment inventories, travel plans, and associated responsibilities.
– Revenue of products by established yearly sales budgets and goals. Review forecasting accuracy of products. Achieve gross margin goals and objectives based on yearly goals.
– Helps encourage, promote, direct, coach, and mentor staff to create a healthy, productive working environment. Working knowledge of the Refractories’ manufacturing process is a must. A metallurgical background would be an asset
– 8+ years of Sales / managerial experience or the equivalent in a steel-making environment
